A high‑speed pickup truck struck a motorcyclist in the Deolond police‑station area of Shahdol district, Madhya Pradesh, resulting in the rider's immediate death. Witnesses said the pickup accelerated into the biker, then sped away from the scene.
Approximately one kilometre from the collision point, the fleeing vehicle lost control and overturned, coming to rest on its side. The overturned pickup was subsequently seized by local authorities.
Police have opened a case of hit‑and‑run and are actively searching for the driver, whose identity remains unknown. The investigation will focus on tracing the vehicle’s registration and any CCTV footage from nearby roads.
