The Madhya Pradesh High Court has suspended the order to remove Abdul Gaffar, known as Pappu Malik, from the post of Tikamgarh municipal chairman, allowing him to continue in office pending the next hearing.

The Madhya Pradesh High Court intervened in a pending removal case concerning Abdul Gaffar, popularly known as Pappu Malik, who serves as the chairman of the Tikamgarh Nagar Palika. The court issued a stay on the execution of the removal order, permitting him to retain his duties until the matter is heard again.

The original order to dismiss the chairman had been passed by a lower authority, citing alleged irregularities in his administration. However, the High Court found sufficient grounds to pause the decision, citing procedural concerns and the need for a thorough review.

Legal counsel for both sides will appear before the bench on the next scheduled date, where the court will decide whether the removal should proceed or be permanently set aside. Until then, Pappu Malik will continue to function as the municipal head of Tikamgarh.

The development has drawn attention from local political observers, who note that the case underscores the complex interplay between municipal governance and judicial oversight in the state.
