The Madhya Pradesh High Court has supervised a quality test of Gwalior’s roads, with officials cutting the pavement to collect samples for analysis.

The Madhya Pradesh High Court stepped in to oversee a quality assessment of the road network in Gwalior, responding to growing concerns over pavement durability and public safety. Court officials, accompanied by engineering experts, conducted the inspection under official supervision.

During the test, a thin section of the road surface was carefully cut away at selected points to obtain concrete samples. These specimens were then sealed and dispatched to a certified laboratory for detailed analysis of material strength, composition and adherence to national construction standards.

The initiative aims to verify that recent road‑building projects meet the specifications mandated by the state’s Public Works Department. Findings from the laboratory will guide any corrective measures and may influence future tendering processes for infrastructure work in the region.

Authorities have indicated that the results will be made public once available, and the court may issue further directives based on the technical evaluation to ensure long‑term road safety for commuters.
