Helicopter Carrying Pilgrims Crashes in Indian Himalayas, All Six Killed

A helicopter carrying a group of pilgrims went down in the remote stretches of the Indian Himalayas, leaving six people dead. The aircraft was on a pilgrimage-related flight when it lost contact with ground controllers, prompting an immediate search operation.
Local authorities and disaster‑relief teams were dispatched to the crash site, where they confirmed that there were no survivors. A preliminary investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the accident, but officials have not released further details at this stage.
The tragedy has highlighted the challenges of operating air transport in mountainous terrain, especially during religious journeys that often rely on helicopters to reach isolated shrines. Safety officials have urged a review of flight protocols in the region to prevent similar incidents in the future.
