Heavy Rains in Puri Flood Farmland, Damaging Hundreds of Acres

Heavy rains that began on Thursday evening have caused widespread flooding across the agricultural belt of Puri district in Odisha.

According to local reports, floodwater has inundated more than 300 acres of farmland, submerging crops that were in the early stages of growth.

Farmers in the affected villages are now facing significant losses, as the water has damaged seedlings and eroded topsoil.
