Heavy Rains Flood Annamayya and Chittoor Districts, Andhra Pradesh

Heavy rainfall over the past 24 hours has turned low-lying areas of Annamayya and Chittoor districts into waterlogged zones, with several villages reporting standing water and damaged roads.

Local authorities have closed major highways and bridges to prevent accidents, while emergency services have deployed rescue teams to assist stranded residents. The Andhra Pradesh state government has issued a weather alert and urged people to stay indoors.

So far, there have been no reports of casualties, but the situation remains fluid as monsoon clouds continue to linger over the region.
