The surge has inundated low‑lying areas and caused water to flow over several bridges, making them impassable. Local authorities report that the rising water levels have disrupted connectivity between Jaitpur and neighboring villages, hampering the movement of residents and emergency services. The floodwaters have also forced the closure of the main road that links Jaitpur with the neighboring state of Chhattisgarh, further isolating the area. Officials have urged people to avoid travel on affected routes until the situation stabilises and rescue teams are on standby to assist those stranded.
