The Haryana government announced it will bear half of the branding and marketing expenses for MSMEs, aiming to push their products into international markets.
New Delhi, Sept 21 — The Haryana state administration has unveiled a scheme that will cover fifty percent of the branding and marketing costs incurred by micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The move is intended to enhance the visibility of local products and facilitate their entry into overseas markets.
Under the announced bill, eligible MSMEs can apply for financial assistance to fund activities such as packaging design, digital advertising, participation in international trade fairs and other promotional initiatives. The government expects the subsidy to improve export competitiveness and create new revenue streams for the sector.
State officials said the scheme aligns with broader efforts to modernise the state's industrial base and attract foreign buyers. Details on eligibility criteria, application procedures and the total budget allocation will be released in the coming weeks.
Industry bodies welcomed the initiative, noting that cost‑effective marketing support is a critical gap for many small manufacturers seeking to expand beyond domestic demand.
