The Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC) announced the suspension of a state distribution company (DISCOM) following repeated delays in connecting green energy projects to the grid.
The decision comes after the DISCOM failed to meet the deadlines set by HERC for integrating renewable energy sources, a requirement aimed at boosting the state’s renewable energy targets.
HERC cited non‑compliance with the grid‑connection schedule and lack of corrective action as the primary reasons for the suspension, which will remain in effect until the DISCOM demonstrates compliance.
