The state’s new MSME policy will deny incentives to 16 industries that are deemed polluting and will introduce third‑party inspections to enforce compliance.
The Haryana government has unveiled a revised MSME policy that will bar 16 industries identified as polluting from receiving any state incentives.
Under the new framework, these sectors will no longer qualify for subsidies, tax breaks or other financial benefits that are typically offered to micro, small and medium enterprises.
To ensure compliance, the policy introduces mandatory third‑party inspections. Independent auditors will verify environmental standards before any incentive is approved.
The move is aimed at curbing pollution while encouraging cleaner production practices among MSMEs. The government has said the policy will be implemented from the next fiscal year.
