Haryana Launches Online Portal for End‑of‑Life Vehicle Scrapping

The Haryana government will introduce a digital platform enabling vehicle owners to arrange scrapping of end‑of‑life cars, trucks and two‑wheelers online.

The Haryana government has announced the launch of a new online portal that will allow vehicle owners to schedule the scrapping of end‑of‑life cars, trucks and two‑wheelers. The portal, which is expected to go live later this month, will enable users to submit necessary documents, book a scrapping slot and receive a digital receipt for the disposal process.

The initiative aims to streamline the scrapping process, reduce paperwork and ensure that vehicles are dismantled in an environmentally responsible manner. By digitising the workflow, the state hopes to cut down on illegal scrapping practices and improve compliance with national waste management regulations.

Officials say the portal will also provide real‑time updates on the status of a vehicle’s scrapping and offer guidance on the required safety and environmental checks. The platform is part of Haryana’s broader effort to promote sustainable practices across the automobile sector.

Vehicle owners will be able to access the portal through the state’s official website, and the government has promised to provide support for users unfamiliar with digital services. The launch is seen as a step toward modernising vehicle disposal and protecting the environment.
