The Haryana government has unveiled a natural farming initiative, offering subsidies, certification support, and market access to farmers.

The Haryana government today announced a comprehensive natural farming scheme aimed at promoting sustainable agricultural practices across the state. Under the program, farmers will receive financial subsidies to offset the costs of transitioning to natural methods, as well as assistance in obtaining official certification.

In addition to financial incentives, the scheme includes a market support component designed to connect certified natural farmers with buyers and buyers’ cooperatives, ensuring fair prices and reducing post-harvest losses. The government also plans to set up training centers to educate farmers on best practices and to monitor compliance.

The initiative is part of Haryana’s broader effort to boost food security, reduce chemical inputs, and enhance soil health. Officials expect the program to encourage more farmers to adopt eco-friendly techniques, thereby improving long‑term productivity and environmental sustainability.
