The State Election Commission of Haryana has pushed back the deadline for filing objections to the draft electoral roll to September 30, with the final list slated for release on November 6.

The State Election Commission (SEC) in Haryana announced that the window for submitting objections to the draft electoral roll has been extended to 30 September, a week later than originally scheduled. This extension gives political parties, candidates and citizens additional time to review the provisional list and raise any discrepancies.

Stakeholders can now file their concerns through the SEC’s online portal or at designated offices, citing issues such as duplicate entries, missing voters or incorrect details. The commission has reiterated that only substantiated objections will be entertained, and that the verification process will continue uninterrupted.

The final voter roll, incorporating all approved changes, is set to be published on 6 November. The deadline aligns with the timetable for upcoming local body elections in the state, ensuring that the electoral roll is up‑to‑date before polling begins.

Election officials said the revised schedule aims to enhance the accuracy of the roll while avoiding delays to the election calendar, and they urged all parties to submit any objections promptly.
