Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said the state will push new road, rail and logistics projects beyond the traditional National Capital Region belt to spur balanced growth.

Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini told Business Today that the state government is preparing a roadmap to extend critical infrastructure into areas that lie outside the conventional National Capital Region (NCR). He emphasized that concentrating development only around Delhi and its immediate suburbs has created regional imbalances, and that a broader network of highways, railway links and logistics hubs will unlock economic potential in less‑served districts.

Saini outlined specific measures such as upgrading state highways that connect peripheral towns to major industrial corridors, fast‑tracking new railway stations on the Delhi‑Mumbai line, and encouraging private investment in warehousing zones beyond the current NCR fringe. He said these steps aim to attract manufacturing units, reduce logistics costs and generate employment across the state.

The CM also indicated that the upcoming state budget will allocate additional funds for these projects and that coordination with the central government will be sought to ensure seamless integration with national transport plans. The announcement comes as Haryana seeks to diversify its growth model beyond the traditional satellite cities of Gurgaon and Faridabad.
