The Haryana chief minister said the BJP government has abolished the contractor‑middlemen model and rolled out a clear, direct employment system for workers.

New Delhi – In a statement released on Thursday, the chief minister of Haryana announced that the state government, under the BJP, has dismantled the long‑standing contractor‑middlemen arrangement that previously mediated job placements. The move is aimed at eliminating layers of brokerage that often inflated costs and obscured wage transparency.

According to the announcement, the new framework will directly link job seekers with employers through a state‑run portal, ensuring that recruitment processes are open, verifiable and free from undue influence. Officials said the system will standardise wage rates, provide clear contract terms and enable real‑time monitoring of employment data.

The chief minister emphasized that the reform is part of a broader effort to boost decent work opportunities and protect labour rights across Haryana. The government plans to roll out training modules and support services to help workers transition to the new mechanism.

Stakeholders, including trade unions and industry bodies, have been invited to review the guidelines and provide feedback before full implementation later this year.
