Harmanpreet Kaur remained unbeaten on 91 as India posted a total of 216 runs to defeat Zimbabwe in a women's international match.
In a women's One Day International, India posted 216 runs on the board, thanks largely to Harmanpreet Kaur's unbeaten 91. The veteran middle‑order batter anchored the innings after early wickets fell, rotating the strike and finding boundaries at crucial moments.
Zimbabwe struggled to contain Kaur's aggression, and the partnership she built with the lower order ensured the target remained competitive. The Indian side completed their innings without further loss, setting a challenging total for the visitors.
When Zimbabwe began their chase, they found the required run rate escalating quickly. India's bowlers applied pressure, taking timely wickets and limiting the opposition's scoring opportunities, ultimately securing a comfortable win for the hosts.
The performance underlines Kaur's importance to the Indian women's team, especially as the side prepares for upcoming international fixtures. Her innings not only contributed the bulk of the runs but also demonstrated composure under pressure.
Post‑match, the team management praised the collective effort, highlighting the depth in batting and the disciplined bowling that complemented Kaur's knock.
