Harendra Nagar arrested in Delhi over planned murder for unpaid ₹1 crore ransom

Inter-state criminal Harendra Nagar, also known as KD, was detained in Delhi after police said he was traveling to kill Rohini’s financier over a ₹1 crore ransom that was not paid. He is also wanted for a gold robbery in Ambala.
Delhi police arrested Harendra Nagar, an inter‑state criminal who uses the alias KD, after intercepting him en route to the capital. Authorities said he intended to murder the financier of a woman named Rohini because a ransom of one crore rupees had not been paid.
Investigators linked Nagar to a claim of association with a figure known as Himanshu Babu, though no formal charge has been filed on that basis. The planned killing was reportedly motivated solely by the unpaid ransom, which the victim’s associate had refused to provide.
In addition to the murder plot, Nagar is a wanted suspect in a separate gold‑theft case in Ambala, Haryana. Police have issued a notice that he remains at large for that offence and have added it to the charges pending against him.
The arrest underscores a coordinated effort by law‑enforcement agencies across state lines to curb violent extortion and robbery networks operating in northern India.
