In a crackdown on human trafficking, authorities in Gwalior rescued four women from Myanmar who had been forced into exploitation.
Police in Gwalior carried out a coordinated operation that led to the rescue of four women from Myanmar who had been trafficked into forced labour.
The women were found in a rented house in the city’s outskirts, where they had been kept under threat and denied basic rights.
Gwalior Police Commissioner stated that the operation was part of a larger anti‑trafficking initiative and that the authorities will cooperate with international agencies to trace the traffickers.
The rescued women have been transferred to a safe house and are receiving medical and psychological support while investigations continue.
