Police in Gwalior detained 40‑year‑old Yogesh Gupta after discovering more than 50 indecent video recordings on his mobile, allegedly made during social‑media‑initiated video calls with women.
Gwalior police arrested 40‑year‑old Yogesh Gupta on suspicion of recording explicit video calls with women he had befriended through social media platforms. The investigation began after complaints surfaced on social networks alleging that the man was sharing inappropriate video content.
During a search of Gupta’s mobile device, investigators recovered more than fifty video recordings that appear to capture private video calls without the participants’ consent. The police have confirmed that the material is of a sexual nature and was allegedly recorded without the knowledge of the women involved.
Authorities have charged Gupta under sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act that pertain to voyeurism and the illegal recording and distribution of intimate content. He is currently in custody pending further legal proceedings.
