New regulations issued by Gujarat's education department forbid outsiders from entering school premises and prohibit any photography or videography without prior permission.
The Gujarat state education department has rolled out fresh guidelines that bar any unauthorised person from stepping onto school grounds. Under the new rules, only individuals with explicit clearance from school authorities are permitted to be present inside the premises.
The directives also prohibit the taking of photographs or recording videos inside school facilities unless prior written consent is obtained from the school management. Violations may attract disciplinary action as per the school’s internal policies.
Officials said the measures aim to safeguard student privacy, prevent the misuse of images, and maintain a secure learning environment. The guidelines align Gujarat’s educational institutions with similar safety protocols being adopted across other Indian states.
School heads across the state have been instructed to inform teachers, staff, and parents about the new restrictions and to display the policy prominently at entry points.
