On International Day Against Drug Abuse, the Gujarat Director General of Police announced that the state police have prevented drugs valued at over Rs 13,600 crore from reaching the youth in the past five years.

The Director General of Police (DGP) of Gujarat revealed significant achievements in combating drug trafficking on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse. According to a statement posted on X, the Gujarat Police have successfully intercepted and prevented the distribution of narcotics worth more than Rs 13,600 crore over the last five years.

This substantial seizure highlights the state police's persistent efforts to safeguard the youth from the perils of drug abuse. The DGP further emphasized that these operations have critically disrupted the operations of international drug smuggling networks.
