Law enforcement sources say Gujarat is being used as a refuge by individuals wanted for crimes in Punjab.
Police officials have indicated that Gujarat is emerging as a sanctuary for persons wanted in criminal cases in Punjab. The assessment is based on intelligence inputs that suggest several suspects have relocated to the western state to evade capture.
Authorities from both Punjab and Gujarat are reportedly coordinating their efforts to track the movements of these individuals. Inter‑state cooperation is being intensified to share information and monitor potential hideouts across Gujarat.
As of now, no arrests have been reported, and investigations remain ongoing. Law enforcement agencies have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity that could be linked to the wanted suspects.
