The Gujarat government has presented two intricately crafted Shri Yantras, weighing a combined 70 kg, to the Vaishno Devi shrine after a 60‑day production using five metals.
Gujarat's cultural department handed over two specially designed Shri Yantras to the management of the Vaishno Devi shrine in a ceremony held at the pilgrimage site. The twin yantras together weigh about 70 kilograms and are being installed in the sanctum as a token of devotion and inter‑state cultural goodwill.
The yantras were fabricated over a period of 60 days by artisans employing a traditional five‑metal alloy known as Panchaloha, which combines gold, silver, copper, iron and zinc. Their intricate geometry follows ancient Vedic specifications, making them distinct from standard yantras found in temples.
Shrine officials welcomed the offering, noting that the massive yantras will be placed in a newly prepared altar and are expected to attract additional pilgrims. The gift underscores Gujarat's commitment to preserving and promoting Hindu spiritual heritage across the country.
