The investigation began after authorities received a bomb threat message targeting a location in Gujarat. Cyber crime units traced the origin of the communication and identified digital footprints leading outside the country.
During the course of the probe, police detained two suspects. A search of their possessions revealed a large database containing about five lakh email IDs, which investigators believe may have been used for the threat.
