The Gujarat Ayurveda University has ordered an investigation after students reported that 11 of the 12 questions in the BAMS exam were identical to those circulated on WhatsApp prior to the test.
The Gujarat Ayurveda University (GAU) has announced a formal probe into a suspected leak of the BAMS examination paper after students raised concerns that 11 of the 12 questions were identical to those shared on WhatsApp before the exam. The allegation surfaced when candidates discovered that the questions appeared in a group chat weeks in advance of the scheduled test.
GAU officials stated that they are cooperating with the university’s internal review committee to determine how the paper may have been compromised. The investigation will examine the chain of custody of the exam material and assess whether any security protocols were breached.
The BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) exam is a critical assessment for aspiring Ayurvedic practitioners, and any breach of its integrity could undermine the credibility of the qualification. The university has urged students to refrain from sharing exam content and has promised a transparent outcome once the probe concludes.
