Gujarat Adds Four New Amrit Bharat Stations, Total Now 22

The Gujarat government today inaugurated four new Amrit Bharat stations, bringing the total number of redeveloped stations in the state to 22. The ceremony was attended by state officials and railway dignitaries, who highlighted the project’s role in boosting regional connectivity and tourism.

The new stations, located in key towns across Gujarat, feature modern amenities, improved safety measures and enhanced passenger comfort. They are part of the broader Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, which aims to upgrade railway infrastructure nationwide.

Officials said the project has created jobs during the construction phase and is expected to attract more travelers to the state’s cultural and commercial hubs. The inauguration marks a milestone in Gujarat’s ongoing efforts to modernise its railway network.

The state’s transport department plans to continue expanding the network, with additional stations slated for future development.
