Guard’s Aerial Firing Injures Attacker in Assault on Petrol Pump Staff, Jalandhar

Jalandhar, Punjab – On Tuesday, a staff member at a petrol pump in Jalandhar was assaulted by an unidentified individual. The attacker approached the employee and launched a physical assault, causing a brief disturbance at the fuel station.

According to eyewitnesses, a security guard stationed at the pump responded by discharging aerial fire from his weapon in an attempt to neutralise the threat. The guard’s rounds struck the assailant, leaving him wounded.

Local police arrived shortly after the incident, secured the scene and took the injured attacker into custody for medical treatment and further questioning. No serious injuries were reported among the pump staff or by‑standers.

The incident is being investigated as a criminal assault, and authorities have urged the public to cooperate with the investigation.
