Delhi authorities announced an upgrade of mobile signal strength at GTB Hospital, aiming to improve connectivity for patients, visitors and medical staff.

The Delhi government has confirmed that the mobile network inside Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital will be upgraded in the coming weeks. The move is part of a broader effort to modernise digital infrastructure across public health facilities.

The upgrade will involve installing additional signal boosters and collaborating with telecom operators to ensure consistent coverage throughout the hospital campus. Officials expect the work to be completed by the end of the month, with minimal disruption to ongoing medical services.

Hospital administrators say stronger mobile connectivity will help doctors and nurses access electronic health records, coordinate emergency responses and keep patients and their families better informed. The improvement is also expected to facilitate tele‑consultations and remote monitoring initiatives that the health department is rolling out.

A senior health official highlighted that the project reflects Delhi’s commitment to leveraging technology for better patient care, and similar upgrades are planned for other major government hospitals in the city.
