Bhojpur district police received a complaint that a female graduate student was subjected to indecent behavior by the driver of a moving auto‑rickshaw in the Mufassil police‑station jurisdiction. According to the report, the driver’s conduct made the student feel threatened, and she attempted to distance herself by moving to a different seat.
When the alleged harassment continued, the student reportedly jumped from the auto‑rickshaw while it was in motion, landing between the villages of Mahuli and Balua. Local witnesses said the incident caused a brief disruption on the road, but no other passengers were injured.
The police have registered a case of sexual harassment and are investigating the driver’s identity. They have also appealed to the public for any additional information or CCTV footage that could aid the inquiry.
