The Union Government has unveiled a country‑wide initiative to train citizens in cloud computing and artificial intelligence, in partnership with Amazon.
The Union Government announced the launch of a nationwide programme aimed at building cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI) skills among Indian youth and professionals. The scheme is being rolled out in collaboration with Amazon, which will contribute its expertise, curriculum and cloud infrastructure.
The initiative seeks to create a large pool of digitally skilled workers to support the country’s growing technology sector and to enhance India’s competitiveness in the global digital economy. Training modules will be delivered through online platforms as well as partner training centres across the country.
By leveraging Amazon’s cloud services and instructional resources, the programme intends to provide hands‑on experience with real‑world tools, enabling participants to acquire job‑ready competencies in emerging technologies. The government expects the effort to boost employment opportunities and foster innovation in the tech ecosystem.
