The founder of jewellery brand GIVA stated that the Raksha Bandhan commercial featuring actress Kriti Sanon was taken down because of safety issues, according to Mid-Day.

GIVA, the Indian jewellery startup, announced that its recent Raksha Bandhan advertisement starring Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon was removed from circulation. The company's founder said the decision was driven by concerns over the safety of the production set, although specific details of the risk were not disclosed.

According to the statement, the ad had already been filmed and was slated for release during the festive season, but the identified safety issues prompted an immediate pullback to protect crew and talent. GIVA emphasized that it remains committed to adhering to industry safety standards.

The withdrawal comes at a time when brands are increasingly scrutinising production protocols for high‑visibility campaigns. No further comment was provided on whether the ad will be re‑shot or relaunched after remedial measures.

Mid‑Day reported the founder's remarks, noting that the brand has not released an official public statement beyond the interview. No legal or regulatory actions have been reported in connection with the incident.
