All schools in Ghaziabad will remain closed on October 30 as students prepare for the Uttar Pradesh PET-2026 examination.
The district administration of Ghaziabad has announced that all schools will be closed on October 30, 2026, to allow students to focus on the upcoming Uttar Pradesh PET examination.
The closure is part of a state‑wide directive that aims to provide uninterrupted study time for candidates appearing for the PET, a competitive exam that determines admission to professional courses.
Parents and teachers have expressed understanding of the decision, noting that the extra day will help students consolidate their learning and reduce exam‑related stress.
A circular issued by the Ghaziabad Education Office confirmed the shutdown and advised schools to resume normal operations the following day.
