Gas Cylinder Explosion in Bengaluru: Video Shows Diya Igniting Leaking Cylinder

A video that has gone viral on social media shows a woman named Diya setting fire to a leaking gas cylinder, which subsequently exploded in Bengaluru. The footage, captured by a bystander, clearly depicts Diya striking a match on the cylinder’s valve, leading to a sudden blast that damaged nearby structures.

Police have arrived at the scene and are conducting an investigation into the incident. Preliminary reports suggest that the cylinder was already leaking, and the ignition by Diya accelerated the explosion. No casualties have been reported yet, but several residents were displaced.

The Karnataka Fire and Rescue Department has issued a warning to residents about the dangers of handling faulty gas cylinders and urged people to report any leaks immediately. The incident has sparked discussions on safety regulations for gas storage in residential areas.
