The water level of the Ganga River in Samastipur district has climbed to roughly 46.5 metres, about one metre above the established danger mark of 45.50 metres, officials said. This rise has triggered the spread of water in the low‑lying parts of Mohanpur, Mohiuddinagar and Vidyapatinagar, where residents are already reporting inundation.
