Gandhinagar Vote Counting Begins for Gujarat Civic Elections

The Election Commission has begun the vote‑counting process for Gujarat’s local body elections, starting in Gandhinagar and extending to other municipal bodies across the state.

The counting follows the polling day, during which voters selected candidates for mayors, councilors and other local representatives.

Officials are conducting the tally in a transparent manner, with the aim of announcing results shortly.

The outcome will determine the composition of local governments and influence development plans in Gujarat’s cities and towns.
