Four men in a Mahindra Thar robbed an Axis Bank ATM in Mohali, stealing a large sum of cash.
A robbery took place on the outskirts of Mohali early this morning when four men entered an Axis Bank ATM using a Mahindra Thar. The attackers reportedly disabled the machine and withdrew a substantial amount of cash before fleeing the scene.
The incident occurred near the main road connecting Mohali to Chandigarh, a busy corridor that witnesses heavy traffic. Witnesses said the vehicle was driven at a high speed before stopping at the bank.
Preliminary reports from the bank indicate that the amount withdrawn was in the range of several lakhs, though the exact figure has not yet been released. The bank has confirmed that the ATM was temporarily out of service and is cooperating with authorities.
Police have launched an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby shops and traffic cameras. The suspects are still at large, and authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.
