The Hindu notes that Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal have each completed 100 days in office, marking a key milestone for the newly elected administrations.

Four Indian states – Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal – have reached the 100‑day mark since their current ministries took charge, a milestone often used to gauge early performance. The celebrations come as the new administrations begin to implement flagship programmes promised during their election campaigns.
In Kerala, the Left Democratic Front completed 100 days under Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, focusing on health and education reforms. Puducherry's coalition government, led by N. Rangasamy, highlighted infrastructure upgrades and tourism promotion. Tamil Nadu marked the occasion with Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s emphasis on social welfare schemes, while West Bengal’s Mamata Banerjee‑led government celebrated progress in rural development and industrial investment.
The Hindu compiled a series of articles reviewing each government's achievements, challenges and policy direction during this initial period. Analysts suggest that the 100‑day review will shape public perception ahead of the next electoral cycle.
As the states move beyond the honeymoon phase, they face the task of translating early promises into sustainable outcomes, with opposition parties and civil society closely monitoring implementation.
