During the same operation, investigators recovered five firearms of foreign origin, including assault-style rifles. The weapons were seized from the suspects' possession and are now part of the evidence chain.
Authorities linked the recent firing incident to a rangdari (extortion) motive, suggesting the gang was attempting to enforce its demands. The police have opened a case under the Arms Act and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
