Police in Mahasamund, Chhattisgarh, detained four suspects and linked the cannabis supply chain to Odisha and Nagpur, Maharashtra.
Police in Mahasamund, Chhattisgarh, arrested four individuals suspected of involvement in a cannabis trafficking operation. The arrests were made following a coordinated raid by state law‑enforcement agencies.
Investigators said forensic and intelligence inputs allowed them to trace the supply route of the seized narcotics beyond the state. The trail led to sources in Odisha and distribution hubs in Nagpur, Maharashtra.
Authorities have opened separate inquiries in the two states to dismantle the network further. The investigation remains ongoing, and officials have warned that additional arrests may follow as the probe expands.
The seized material and the arrests underscore a growing focus on inter‑state drug trafficking, prompting calls for stronger coordination among police forces across the region.
