Four arrested after armed clash between two groups in Dehradun, Uttarakhand

Police in Dehradun detained four individuals after an armed confrontation between two rival groups turned violent, with shots fired on the city’s streets.
Police said an altercation between two unidentified groups erupted on a busy street in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, and quickly escalated when gunfire was exchanged. Witnesses reported hearing multiple rounds and seeing participants brandishing weapons before law‑enforcement arrived.
Responding officers moved in, secured the area and apprehended four suspects believed to be involved in the shooting. The detainees were taken to the local police station for questioning, and the case has been registered under sections relating to unlawful discharge of firearms and rioting.
