Former Servant Arrested for Rs 3 Lakh Theft from Landlord’s Bungalow in Dungarpur, Rajasthan

Police in Kotwali, Dungarpur have arrested Kunsh Putra Shankarlal Nanoma, a former domestic worker, for stealing Rs 3 lakh in cash from his former employer’s Shrinath bungalow. A scooter was seized and the suspect is alleged to have purchased a car with the stolen money.
Police from Kotwali police station in Dungarpur district disclosed that a cash robbery amounting to Rs 3 lakh took place at a bungalow in Shrinath, Baladiat. The theft was reported by the property owner, prompting a swift investigation.
Investigators traced the suspect to a former domestic employee, identified as Kunsh Putra Shankarlal Nanoma. He was apprehended on Tuesday, and during the raid a two‑wheeler scooter was seized from his possession.
Authorities also recovered a four‑door car believed to have been bought using the stolen funds. The police have filed a theft case under the Indian Penal Code and the accused will appear before the court for further proceedings.
The Dungarpur police emphasized that any attempt to conceal or launder stolen cash will attract strict legal action, urging residents to report similar incidents promptly.
