Former Rajasthan Minister Resigns from Congress, Cites Self‑Respect

The former minister of Rajasthan announced his exit from the Indian National Congress, making the decision public in a brief statement. He said he could no longer remain in a party where his personal dignity was at stake. "Better to die with self‑respect than live without it," he declared, emphasizing his unwillingness to compromise on core values. Party leaders have not yet issued a formal response, and political analysts note that such resignations can affect local dynamics ahead of upcoming elections. The move underscores growing discontent among some senior leaders with the party's current direction.
