A former West Bengal MLA alleges that bricks and a makeshift bomb were hurled at Arabul Islam’s car in Bhangar after he quit the Indian Security Force (ISF).
Arbul Islam’s vehicle was reportedly attacked in the Bhangar area of West Bengal shortly after he left the Indian Security Force (ISF). According to the complaint, several bricks and a crude improvised explosive device were thrown at the car, causing damage but no reported injuries.
The allegation comes from a former Member of the Legislative Assembly who said he witnessed the assault and identified the objects used. He has lodged a formal complaint with local police, demanding a swift investigation into the incident and the perpetrators.
Islam’s departure from the ISF earlier this month had sparked political speculation, with some observers linking the attack to his possible re‑entry into the Trinamool Congress (TMC). While the former MLA’s statements focus on the criminal act, the episode adds another layer to the ongoing political dynamics in the region.
