Former Domestic Helper Plots Revenge, Holds Elderly Couple Hostage, Steals ₹1 Crore in Roop Nagar

Delhi police arrested a former domestic helper and three accomplices for kidnapping an elderly couple in Roop Nagar and stealing nearly one crore rupees, a plot allegedly driven by a revenge motive after her dismissal three years ago.
Police in North Delhi's Roop Nagar area have taken into custody a former domestic helper along with three other suspects in connection with a robbery that netted close to one crore rupees. According to investigators, the accused kidnapped an elderly couple, held them hostage, and looted the cash from their residence.
The motive, officials say, appears to be personal revenge. The domestic helper, who had been dismissed from her job with the couple three years earlier, is alleged to have orchestrated the scheme and recruited the other three individuals to execute it.
The Delhi Police Crime Branch has recovered a portion of the stolen money and is continuing its investigation to locate the remaining amount. All four accused are currently in custody and will face charges of kidnapping, robbery and criminal conspiracy.
Authorities have urged the public to report any information that could aid in the recovery of the remaining funds and to remain vigilant against similar crimes targeting senior citizens.
