Former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijaya Singh labelled vote‑rigging and donation misappropriation as robbery and announced a large Congress rally in Sehore to address the issues.

In a press briefing held in Sehore, former chief minister Digvijaya Singh warned that the alleged manipulation of votes and the siphoning of political donations constitute criminal acts comparable to robbery. He said the practices undermine democratic processes and erode public trust in electoral institutions.

Singh framed both vote theft and donation theft as serious violations that require a concerted political response. He urged the Congress party to treat these issues as a priority and to mobilise its cadre across the region.

The leader announced that the party will launch a large‑scale rally in Sehore, inviting party workers, supporters and the general public to join the campaign against these alleged malpractices. The rally is intended to highlight the Congress’s stance and to rally voters around a clean‑election narrative.

Political analysts note that the announcement comes ahead of upcoming local elections in Madhya Pradesh, and the rally could become a focal point for the party’s outreach in the state.
