Former BDO of Keoti, Darbhanga, Chandramohan Paswan, has been suspended by the Rural Development Department following an investigation that revealed assets worth Rs 89.13 lakh, exceeding his known income by 81.03%.

Chandramohan Paswan, formerly the Block Development Officer (BDO) in Keoti, Darbhanga, has been suspended by the Rural Development Department. The action follows a thorough investigation by the Special Vigilance Unit (SVU).

The SVU probe uncovered that Paswan possessed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. The investigation revealed that his accumulated wealth was approximately Rs 89.13 lakh, which is a staggering 81.03% more than his legitimate earnings.

This significant financial discrepancy led to the departmental action, with the suspension aimed at ensuring a fair and unhindered inquiry into the matter. Further departmental proceedings are expected as the investigation progresses.
