The shuttering of an under‑construction flyover on National Highway 27 collapsed at Majouli Chowk in the Bochaha police‑station jurisdiction of Muzaffarpur, Bihar, late in the evening. Workers and nearby commuters reported hearing a loud crash as the concrete framework gave way.
Because the incident happened after sunset, the area was relatively quiet and only a few pedestrians were present. No injuries were reported, and authorities said that the darkness likely prevented a larger loss of life that could have occurred during daylight hours.
