An Airbus A320 operated by FlyArystan ignited while undergoing maintenance at Almaty International Airport, prompting an emergency response.

An Airbus A320 belonging to low‑cost carrier FlyArystan caught fire while it was being serviced at Almaty International Airport in Kazakhstan. The blaze broke out during routine maintenance work, prompting airport fire crews to intervene immediately.

Firefighters were able to bring the flames under control quickly, and the aircraft sustained significant damage. No injuries or casualties have been reported, and the airport remained operational for other flights.

Authorities from the Kazakh civil aviation regulator have opened an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. FlyArystan has not released an official statement yet, but the airline is expected to cooperate with investigators.

Almaty Airport, a key hub for both domestic and international traffic, has previously handled similar emergencies without major disruption, and this incident is being treated as an isolated safety event.
