Five Arrested in Gwalior as Police Bust International Cyber Fraud Ring

Police cyber‑crime wing raided a rented duplex in Windsor Hills, Gwalior, uncovering an alleged online betting and gambling network. Five suspects were detained and a cache of 23 mobile phones, 37 SIM cards and other electronic devices was seized.
Police officials from the cyber‑crime wing of the Gwalior police acted on information received from the public and conducted a raid on a rented duplex in the Windsor Hills neighbourhood. The operation targeted a suspected international network that was allegedly facilitating online betting and gambling activities across state lines.
During the raid, five individuals were taken into custody. Investigators recovered 23 mobile phones, 37 SIM cards and a variety of other electronic equipment that are believed to have been used to coordinate the illicit gambling operations.
Senior police spokesperson said the seized devices will be examined for digital evidence to trace the flow of funds and identify any additional participants. The case is being treated as a serious cyber‑crime matter, and further inquiries are underway to dismantle the broader network.
