A massive blaze broke out around 9 a.m. on Sunday at the Dhanuka agro‑chemical plant in Kotputli‑Behror’s Keshwana industrial zone, prompting the deployment of six fire‑engine units.
A fierce fire erupted at about 09:00 on Sunday inside the premises of Dhanuka Ltd., a manufacturer of bio‑fertilisers and agricultural chemicals, located in the Keshwana industrial area of Kotputli‑Behror district, Rajasthan.
Fire‑fighting squads from the district’s fire department arrived promptly, with roughly half a dozen fire‑engine trucks deployed to contain the blaze. Crews worked for several hours to douse the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent units within the industrial complex.
Preliminary reports indicate that no injuries or fatalities have been reported so far. The plant’s production lines were halted, and officials are assessing the extent of material damage. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire, which remains unknown at this stage.
The incident underscores the importance of stringent safety protocols in industrial zones that handle chemical and fertilizer products, prompting local officials to review existing emergency response measures.
